Emily + John - adventurous waterfall engagement

New Hampshire

Everyone knows how much we love a good adventure, so what could be better than a water fall adventure engagement session?!

When Emily + John first contacted us about shooting their wedding and mentioned that they were trying to tie in their love of the mountains and the sea, we knew we would be quick friends. This laid back couple took the plunge and drove up to the mountains to meet us for a bit of an adventure. While we walked around exploring we got to hear tales of their Iceland adventures and other travels and some of their plans for future adventures! It was such a great experience and we can't wait to share these images with you all!

Meg + Ryan: Winter Engagement Session

Concord, New Hampshire

It was one of the warmest winter days in February when I met with Meg and Ryan for their outdoor winter engagement session. This outgoing and fun couple arrived excited and ready to spend the afternoon together exploring parts of Concord! What struck me most about them right off the bat was their natural ease together, they joked and played with such an easy sense of humor and made you feel like old fast friends. We walked and talked around the park hearing of their relationship and proposal and now wedding planning experience. It was easy to see that these two will make it far in life with their easy going attitudes and ability to laugh together, 'cuz life is so much better when we don't take ourselves too seriously! Meg + Ryan are amping up for what will be an epic mountaintop wedding ceremony with the beautiful White Mountains for a back drop complete with a gondola ride!

Kelsey + Andrew: Snowy Engagement Session at Quechee Inn

Quechee Inn at Marshland Farms - Quechee, Vermont

Kelsey and Andrew's perfect New England winter engagement session took place at the beautiful Quechee Inn in Quechee, Vermont - the same location where their upcoming wedding will be! When Kelsey and I first talked about their session she said she really wanted a snowy winter session and boy is that what she got! The day of their shoot was a huge nor'easter that brought with it a foot of fluffy snow and beautiful huge snowflakes. After arriving at the farm we ventured out across the property, roaming through the snow covered fields, up pretty hiking trails and down to the pond where Andrew proposed. It was so much fun watching these two enjoy the company of each other as they laughed, played and snuggled in the winter wonderland.

While we were meandering around the property I asked about the proposal and Kelsey's gorgeous engagement ring. Her ring was two bands intertwined and she told me how Andrew secretly went to her grandmother and got her wedding ring to use in Kelsey's ring as one of the intertwined pieces - with the help of the family, Andrew was able to keep it a secret until the big day of the proposal. Andrew proposed in front of the pond at Quechee Inn, a place that Kelsey had always loved and grown up so close to.

I can't wait to photograph what will be a beautiful wedding for these two!

Robyn + John, Part 1.

Benson Park - Hudson, New Hampshire

Robyn and John's engagement session at Benson Park in Hudson, NH was one for the books! These two sweet hearts are incredibly kind and funny and make you feel like you have known them forever. As we walked around the park shooting and talking you could feel the natural ease and comfort the two of them have together. They also brought along one of their adorable fur-babies, Kahlua who was just as sweet as her parents.

The Proposal

Robyn and John's proposal story is so cute and definitely speaks to their personalities! As told to me by John, they had been talking about getting a dog for a while and so he came up with the idea to propose with a custom dog tag that said "Will you marry me?". With his plan in place, John got the dog tag and collar and wrapped it up nicely. Once the box was in Robyn's hands, I'm sure John was thinking the hard part was over, although it did take a few minutes before she flipped the tag over to see the surprise! While she may have though she was just getting a puppy, instead she also got a husband!

I can't wait for what I know will be an absolutely gorgeous wedding for them in 2017!

Everett + Mckenzie Part 1

Concord, New Hampshire

I am lucky enough to say that Everett has been a great friend of mine for many many years. I remember the days when we were barely in high school goofing off at track practice and always being jokesters at our church youth events. He is dear to my heart and when he went off to college and came back some time later with Mckenzie, things just seemed right. She is as sweet as she is sassy and can hold her own like a champ. Their heart for people and for bringing change to the places they're in will be a force to be reckoned with. They compliment each other in so many ways and they seem to bring out the best in one and other as well. I am honored to have been able to capture just one piece of their love story!

Susan + Mitch Part 1

Shaker Village - Enfield, New Hampshire

Talk about a fun-couple! Susan and Mitch arrived ready to have fun, complete with their two lovely pooches Jackson and Archer. The natural chemistry between these two would make you think they had been together forever, not just a couple of years! It was so much fun having Susan and Mitch include their fur-babies in the shoot - including a perfect moment shared between Susan and Jackson! Can't wait for what will be a great wedding in 2017!

Abbie + JP Part 1.

Campton, NH

Abbie and JP's engagement session was nothing shy of pure bliss. These two were so sweet and funny but what stood out most was the loving energy between them. Having only been together for a little over a year, they were comfortable and effortless together as if they has been married forever. Their fall wedding is right around the corner and I can't wait to photograph all the beauty at Longlook Farm
