Jean + Kyle - a classic and elegant New Hampshire wedding

Concord Country Club - Concord, New Hampshire

When we found out Jean and Kyle were getting married we were ecstatic. When they asked us to photograph their special day we were WICKED ECSTATIC! You see, I've known Jean since we were crazy young girls running around at the horse farm and it's been amazing getting to see all the life changes over the years. We couldn't have been happier to be a part of their big day and get to celebrate right along side them.

Their big day started off like most weddings, full of anticipation and excitement as everyone bustled around finalizing details and getting ready. Jean and her sweet girls excitedly got ready and the smile on her mom's face as she zipped up Jean's dress was nothing short of pure joy! The whole room was full of the best energy as Jean looked out the window to see all their guests arriving and getting ready for the ceremony. At the same time, Kyle along with the rest of his goofy boys were laughing and joking as they got themselves ready. If anyone has a smile to light up a room it is Kyle, his fun-loving attitude is contagious and I'm pretty certain he spent the whole day smiling.

Pre-ceremony wouldn't have been complete without not one but two first looks. One for Kyle to see Jean for the first time and then one with their fur-baby, Remi.

The guests settled in for the ceremony and as Jean's dad came around the corner and wrapped her up in a  big hug as they had some final moments before walking down to meet Kyle. A short and sweet ceremony commenced that ended in a great kiss and cheering from everyone there! My favorite part of the ceremony was right after they kissed and as I turned towards the crowd I caught a quick glimpse of Jean's sweet grandfather smiling at her with a  little tear running down his cheek and all the love in the world in his eyes.

The happy newly-weds burst in to the reception to loads of excited guests and made their way to the dance floor for a first dance. After a delicious dinner and some photo booth opportunities we snuck away with them to the middle of the golf course for some portraits. After a quick golf cart ride we found ourselves surrounded by the beautiful green, the setting sun and a little quietness. As Kyle twirled her around on the green they laughed and smiled in a care-free manner that suits them so well and it was easy to see that they are going to be set for a beautiful life together.

Congratulations Jean + Kyle - we love you guys and can't wait to see what the future holds for you!

Meg + Ryan: a New Hampshire mountaintop wedding

Loon Mountain Resort - Lincoln, NH

Who doesn't love a mountaintop wedding in New Hampshire?! Meg + Ryan had a perfect summer wedding with a mountaintop ceremony, gondola ride, roaring dance party reception complete with an outdoor fire pit to end the night.

The day started with the bride and groom getting ready surrounded by their best friends which included lots of laughter and reminiscing on past times. Meg + Ryan opted out of a first look but Meg wanted one with her Dad so we headed down to the edge of the river to meet him. With a heartfelt hug and tears in their eyes they had a beautiful first look surrounded by Meg's sweet family.

A gondola ride to the top of the mountain is the perfect time to calm some pre-wedding nerves and take in all the spectacular views of the White Mountains. The ceremony took place at the very peak of Loon Mountain in Lincoln - the ceremony spot has a beautiful mountain back drop and even in the middle of summer it boasts a nice breeze to keep the guests cool and happy. As Meg was escorted down the aisle by her father you couldn't help by look over at Ryan and the huge smile on his face. The ceremony was sweet and funny as the officiant told some heartfelt stories about the couple and gave some good laughs. It was evident by the stories he told that not only are they the perfect couple but that EVERYONE adores them both.

Post - ceremony we snuck away for some quick mountaintop portraits of the lovely couple and their families before heading back down the gondola to cocktail hour and the reception.

Loon's reception area is unique by offering a large indoor space for tables, dancing and food but also a complimentary outdoor space complete with Adirondack chairs, fire pit and comfy seating for guests. They kicked off the reception with their first dance and some of the best speeches we have heard this year followed by the biggest dance party ever! This group was ready to have some fun and soon enough the whole party was out on the dance floor to party the night away!

Everything about their day was perfect and we know for sure that they will have the best marriage and we can't wait to find out what the future has in store! Congratulations Meg + Ryan!

Robyn + John - a classic Vermont farm wedding

Mansfield Barn, Shelburne VT

We are catching up on all of our weddings and sessions from the year and next up is Robyn + John's wedding!

This Vermont country wedding was an absolute dream! Robyn went all out making this wedding showcase their style exactly while also bringing in all the best of Vermont. The setting for their day was the gorgeous Mansfield Barn that features rolling green hills, a huge red barn and the perfect outdoor ceremony spot.

Robyn + John opted to do a first look at the covered bridge and let me just say...it was AMAZING! Talk about a tear jerker! Watching Robyn walk toward John on the bridge and seeing all the emotion and love on both of their faces was enough to make anyone cry. They shared a sweet moment on the bridge together before heading to the ceremony. The ceremony was heart felt with a hint of humor (which is so fitting for this fun-loving couple) and as soon as they kissed it was nothing but fun and a party for these two! Lawn games in front of the barn played in to the cool outdoor vibe of the wedding while the couple snuck away behind the barn for some family time and photos before kicking off the big party.

Cindy + Kieran - a New Hampshire fall wedding

Laconia, New Hampshire

When my sweet cousin got engaged to Kieran we were ecstatic, knowing that they had a bright future ahead and that they would accomplish so much together. We were even MORE excited when we were given the chance to photograph their beautiful wedding day. There is something that makes our job so much more special when we get to use our gifts for the people we know and love.

Cindy + Kieran's day started off surrounded by their closest friends as they laughed and chatted together prepping for what was to come. You could tell immediately from the caring gestures of their friends how important this day was for them and to support their friends in the best way possible. A sweet church ceremony commenced where they were married in front of all their family and even better was they had their close friend and pastor as the one to officiate the ceremony!

The reception kicked off to a start with their first dance which had many in the room in tears as they sweetly danced across the room softly singing to each other. The parent dances followed that were also tear-jerkers as you could see all the love they have for this sweet pair who is starting out their life together. They brought in their favorite food - Dos Amigos (because this is the best wedding menu ever, am I right?!?!) and the party got started!

We are so excited for what the future holds for this couple because we know it is going to be AWESOME!

{SNEAK PEEK} Robyn + John - a classic Vermont farm wedding!

The Mansfield Barn - Jericho, Vermont

Saturday’s Vermont barn wedding was nothing short of gorgeous and classic! While the day may have started with ominous storm clouds looming over it sure didn’t last!

Robyn and John were determined to have a fun and light-hearted day surrounded by their family and closest friends and they got just that. They chose to start their day with a sweet first look at the covered bridge in town. When we arrived at the bridge and stepped out of the car, all we could see was John at the end of the bridge with his back to us, patiently waiting on his bride. We walked out to meet him and watched the excitement rise on Robyn’s face as she got closer and closer to John. Soon enough she was close enough to reach him and as he turned around, his face said it all. He quickly wrapped her up in his arms and told her how gorgeous she looked as they kissed in the middle of the covered bridge. Their sweet first look lead in to the most perfect time for portraits of the two of them as they laughed and kissed and danced in the field!

Now, with all the nervous jitters out of the way, they could get their ceremony under way. As Robyn walked down the aisle to John, overlooking the Vermont mountains and surrounded by friends and family – all you could feel was happiness. The day continued on with fun and festivities that we can’t wait to share more of!

Stay tuned for the full post to come!

Rachel + Dave - A Sunapee Summer Wedding

Loon Lake Campground - Croydon NH

We woke up yesterday to beautiful blue skies and a refreshing breeze and I knew then that Rachel + Dave's big day was going to be perfect. As Rachel walked down the aisle with her ever-so-supportive father on one side and her sweet and sassy little Eloise on the other, I couldn't help but look at Dave - the excited smile on his face said it all as he waited (almost) patiently for Rachel to make her way to him. A short and sweet ceremony ended with a passionate kiss and an uproar of clapping! The entire day was filled with laughter, dancing, kids running around and plenty of good times had by all. It was an honor to be a part of their day and we can't wait to share more of their wedding with you! For now, enjoy these sneak peek photos!

ABBIE + JP Part 2

Longlook Farm - Sanbornton, New Hampshire

Abbie and JP's wedding at Longlook Farm in Sanbornton, New Hampshire was definitely one I won't soon forget! I had been looking forward to this wedding all summer after meeting these two and doing their engagement shoot (which you can see here!) in some gorgeous New Hampshire fields!

When I met Abbie and JP I was convinced they had been dating for many years by the ease they had with each other - when I found out they had only been together a short time I was shocked and impressed with their love and maturity. They have an incredible love for each other that is amazing to see. I knew after their engagement session that their wedding would be fun and filled with family and love.

Abbie and JP define the fun-loving, sweet and adventurous couples that I always dream of photographing, I always strive for laughter, genuine engagement and love during sessions and that was so easy with these two! Their entire wedding day was full of Abbie's contagious laughter and JP's loving looks toward his new bride.

The day started in the beautiful log cabin at Longlook where the girls were pampered and prepping upstairs while the boys were finishing up last minute touches outside and getting ready in the downstairs. Abbie was surrounded by an incredible about of love and support from her bride tribe, mother and aunt who helped her with all the little details. Once Abbie put her dress on everyone was speechless at how beautiful she looked, a natural beauty whose smile was the best accessory she could have worn that day. Both Abbie and JP have such loving hearts and are such servant-minded people that they were constantly checking on their loved ones to make sure everyone was ready and okay, it was so sweet to see.

The ceremony was moved in to the barn due to some unfortunate rain but that didn't stop anyone from enjoying the day! As everyone squeezed in nice and close to see the bride come down the aisle I couldn't help but look back at JP. His face said it all, he looked so happy and proud to see this woman coming to him to spend forever together. As Abbie and her dad walked to the barn arm and arm under an umbrella, everyone was brimming in anticipation. The ceremony was heart felt and sweet - full of prayers and sweet words of wisdom to the bride and groom. As they said their vows and exchanged rings you could see the excitement growing between them. They kissed for the first time as husband and wife and the room erupted in clapping!

After the ceremony we took family and wedding party photos and then it was time for bride and groom portraits! We walked around the beautiful fields of the farm with a New Hampshire fall backdrop taking photos as they laughed and played together. As they walked up the dirt road under the bright orange and red trees you could tell just how happy they were. After all this we headed up to get the reception started! First the family and wedding party were announced and then Abbie and JP made their grand entrance! They kicked off the reception with some beautiful toasts by Abbie's brother, her sister-in-law as well as JP's brother - they had the whole room laughing  and tearing up a bit! Dinner and dancing followed with a sweet father daughter dance and mother son dance. As the reception came to a close the wedding party got set up for a fun "releasing of the doves" exit for the couple. With the campfire crackling near by Abbie and JP left the night as a flood of dove balloons were released in to the sky!

Abbie and JP had the perfect day surrounded by friends and family. I am beyond happy and thankful to have been able to witness this day and participate in a small way. I hope you have a lifetime of adventures and years full of love and happiness!

Hannah + Sam's Wedding

Bristol, New Hampshire

Fall weddings are some of the most beautiful, especially in New Hampshire! I knew Hannah and Sam's wedding would be no different, but when I woke up that morning to rainy skies my heart dropped. After arriving lakeside I could see the weather wasn't going to bring them down! Hannah and Sam along with their families hustled around to get ready, everyone just buzzing with excitement. Their day was filled with so much love and support from both families. After a beautiful ceremony, we headed down to the beach where they could have a little quiet time enjoying being married before the reception. It was a dream to photograph these two as they effortlessly moved about each other as a perfect pair. It was evident this couple will be unstoppable in wherever life takes them! Congratulations Hannah and Sam!
